Not Ypres 1916 but Albert Park 2026

I felt the need to go for a stroll on 19 June so thought I would head to MSAC by tram and do a little birding.  As the next 16 tram wasn't for 15 minutes I decided to take a 67 and walk from St Kilda junction.

Once  on to Aughtie Drive it was not long before lack of care was evident.

Then I got to 'works' around the remaining third of the Eyesore Stand.  My guess is at least 30 metres wide from the fence to the base of the scaffolding.
A closer view.
This is at the end of the remaining scaffolding.  About 6 workers were working on removing the remaining seating etc as far as I could see.
Looking down the whole length of the disaster area.
I can't see how hoons could get cars into this area but the number of tyre tracks through the mud was a problem emerging.
My aim for the walk was birding and it was good to see a flock of 15+ Red-rumped parrots and the grubbiest Little Corella I have seen.
There were a few Ibis on the lawns around the Carousel and quite a few (I guessed 50 in total) picking out territories on Gunn Island.
My principle target was a potential Frogmouth site behind MSAC but the version of Google Maps on my phone didn't match what I had seen on my laptop so I failed to find the correct area and gave up.  Will try again next visit now that I have worked out what is going on where,
